Isn’t it about time we took all this agenda out of sport.

I cant help meself. I am the "Unlucky Alf" type. "Knowing my luck, West Ham will lose 3 players to Monkey Pox b4 the Wolves game". That sort of thing.

Been like it ever since we lost to Mansfield 3-0 in the cup. Aint gonna change now. Sorry :-)

It gets a reaction because that country you call your homeland where you wasn't born built their whole population bar the real Australians on foreigners migrating.

You're a fraud Svender for always trying to belittle your nation of birth......

Re: Englands captain’s armband
Labuschagne like Khawaja and others migrated with their families as small children
BUT BUT BUT Kepler WESSELS 40 YEARS AGO when S Africa werent playing international cricket

Of course I only mention it because it gets a reaction
I dont REALLY care who the NZ & Australian coaches of the English cricket teams decide is selectable
Or even the Australian coach of Englands rugby team

Cough, Australia has built it's entire society and existence on hoovering up foreigner for over a century yet this cheeky fraud cunt wants to pull up England doing it in SPORT.....wouldn't mind if he was born there and stayed there and was knocking his own.....but the cunt CAME BACK!

Did the real Australians do a lot of HOOVERING then Svender? of FOREIGN people?

You are a fraud to your own self you mug.

Sven Roeder 6:33 Tue Sep 27
Re: Englands captain’s armband
It is amusing how defensive people get about the HOOVERING of adult 'foreign players' by England.

Tim David's father was an engineer working in Singapore for a couple of years when he was born before the family returned to the bosom of their Western Suburbs heartland in Perth.
Bit like the MALAYSIAN Steve O'Keefe whose father was posted from Sydney with the Australian airforce.

Re: Englands captain’s armband
I'll remember that, Sven, next time you moan about where people are born when it comes to cricket.

I mean Australia, wouldn't pick a cricketer for their T20 World Cup squad, who was born in Singapore and played 14, T20 internationals, for Singapore...

Re: Englands captain’s armband
Trundle, it always makes me chuckle that Svender moans about that....he couldn't represent Australia being born in England......the fraudulent cunt still tries to though.....on a football forum ffs....

I'll remember that, Sven, next time you moan about where people are born when it comes to cricket.

Unless this display of no self awareness is some kind of joke?

I guess a forum needs SOME opinions
Cant prosper with mute, moribund no-marks contributing nothing but TEARS over a 96yo

Good to see Australia qualify for their 5th successive World Cup ... a result over Tunisia might be the limit of their ambitions with the French & Danes in their group.
Beat NZ home and away over the last few days with Scott Cummings completing his transfer from Scotsman to Australian with a goal at Eden Park.

Re: Englands captain’s armband
I see the media are bugging up Harry Kane and his tremendous scoring record and how he has come up trumps again against Germany? It was a penalty. Ok you can miss them but the reports wax lyrical about it. The bloke did a couple of good things but against the better teams, without a Son type player, he is not outstanding against the better national sides. How many goals from open play in big tournaments against the top 15 nations? Should have tried different options like Toney but too late now.

Central defence is pony at this level whether a 3 or a two. Tomori has to be given a chance but no he brings back Dier! Ok at club level like Kane with a Conte system and set up but a one eyed man with a glass eye can see he don’t cut it at the international level. Both him and Maguire with the turning mobility of the Titanic. Again too late to change.

Central midfield is ok with Rice and Bellingham but it will need a fit, inform Kalvin Phillips to provide better defensive cover in some games. He doesn’t play regularly for City. Him and Rice masked some of tge defensive frailties in past tournaments.

In short, getting out of the group stage is about as good as we will do in the WC IMO.

And of course we all know u need 3 West Ham players to win anything

Blimey Sven you are very interested and vocal about the ENGLISH National team…. Just imagine if all the Englishmen on here were just as vocal about the Socceroo’s???

I think Toney has got a bit of the Nile Rangers about him...

Sven Roeder 10:41 Tue Sep 27
Re: Englands captain’s armband
If he was about to be charged you'd imagine they wouldn't have allowed him to be named in the squad.

Dilemma for Southgate in that Saka & Mount came on and turned the game after his nailed on selections of Foden & Sterling were hooked at 0-2.
To be honest nothing Southgate has done/learnt since the Euro final gives any clue as to what his team v Iran should be.
He has a lot of talented players available and England SHOULD be in the maybe 8 or so countries that COULD win the World Cup.
Think they and Belgium are possible winners handicapped by their managers.
